How do I convert my .json file to CSV?

Drop your file here, or choose it to preview its columns and rows in this browser. Nothing is uploaded. Review the table, then download CSV. See the download limits below.

Paste your own data, edit it, then import it again to update the table. Example data uses the separate button below.

What does a .json file contain?

JSON represents values as objects, arrays, strings, numbers and literals. This xmetric table importer expects an array of flat records.

Format source: JSON format documentation. The source describes the format; xmetric-specific behavior is stated separately.

How does JSON compare with CSV?

Choose a format for the information you need to retain. A flat table cannot preserve a report layout, spreadsheet formatting or every source type.

FormatStructureType or compatibility consideration
JSONArray of flat objects for this toolJSON scalar values; nested data needs flattening
CSVDelimited text rowsInferred on import; no stored schema

What should I check before using my .json result?

Exports are limited to 100,000 rows. Check the preview and inferred column types before downloading. Nested JSON objects and arrays need flattening first.

Compare column names, nulls and important values with your source before sharing a table or chart.

What limits apply to my data?

These limits apply to tabular imports, not native Power BI or Tableau report compatibility. File size and browser memory limit what xmetric can open. Table downloads reject oversized results instead of silently dropping rows.

Can I open my .json file without uploading my data?

Yes. xmetric processes the selected local file in your browser. Opening the file does not upload it; saving a workbook online is a separate action.

What should I check after importing .json?

Flatten nested objects and check missing keys before importing.

Does the CSV download include every row?

Yes, within the 100,000-row download limit. Larger downloads are rejected; the converter does not return a silently sampled file.
